Renovations

Construction started in August 2011. We expect a 4 phase construction process and anticipate a grand opening of the renovated buildings in the fall of 2012.

Current Status: We are currently renovating the existing structure with the city's approval and completing the permitting process for the new buildings.

History of Preston

The original General Motors Chevrolet-Oldsmobile franchise was granted to Trapp Peters in May 1948. Lloyd Steele and Dell Nicholson purchased the company in 1952 and changed the name to Steele Nicholson Motors. Dell Nicholson left the business in 1959 and Lloyd Steele continued operating the company until 1965 when it was purchased by George Preston. The dealership name was changed in 1966 to Preston Chevrolet-Oldsmobile Limited. In September 1974 the Cadillac franchise was granted by General Motors of Canada and a 34,000 square foot facility was built at the present location.

In August of 2006, following the passing of Mr. Preston, the dealership was acquired by Robert Wolfe of Calgary and Peter Heppner of Edmonton. Mr. Wolfe and Mr. Heppner have been appointed co-dealers by General Motors for the Preston dealership. Mr. Heppner has relocated to the Langley area to allow him to efficiently perform the duties of General Manager of the dealership.

In July of 2010, the Buick and GMC franchises were granted to Preston and the company was renamed Preston Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac Limited.

Service Has Moved!
(January 23, 2012)

After months of internal renovation work, the service department has moved to the west side of the building! In this new location customers can now enjoy bringing their vehicles in to a large covered service drive-through. See the images below for the new location:

As you can see, there are currently cones guiding traffic to the bay doors to enter the department. Once inside, you'll notice a large covered drive-through where you can park your car and talk with one of our service advisors:

New Signs
(August 26, 2011)

The new signs are up! Earlier this week the new Cadillac sign went up where the GM Optimum Certified sign was, and on August 25th the new Preston sign with Chevrolet, Buick and GMC was put into place.

Renderings
(August 26, 2011)

These are some renderings of the new building from several angles. You'll notice three showcase areas: a main Chevrolet entrance, a Cadillac showcase on the corner of 200th and Highway 10, and a Buick & GMC showcase on the West side of the building. One of the largest changes to the building is the re-location of the service department to the West side of the building to put it right next to our Parts Department. This will give far more space for customers and allow them to pull inside with their vehicles. It will also alleviate the traffic congestion on the east side of the building.
