Lucerne offers two engines — each offering its own breed of performance. The 227 hp 3.9L V6 engine on CX and CXL features Variable Valve Timing (VVT) to help optimize both output and fuel efficiency. Lucerne makes you aware of hazards around you. You will be alerted to objects behind you when you are backing up, thanks to the available ultrasonic rear parking assist. The available Lane Departure Warning System detects when you are drifting out of your lane and activates audio and visual warnings on the instrument panel. The Side Blind Zone Alert employs radar technology to scan both sides of Lucerne and then triggers an LED symbol alert in the appropriate exterior rear-view mirror, when it detects a vehicle entering either zone.
