Cadillac Unveils Blackwing V-Series Performance Sedans
The wait is over! The highly anticipated 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing were finally unveiled earlier this month. These limited production, high performance cars are expected to begin arriving at North American dealerships by late summer 2021, taking their place as Cadillac’s most impressive performance sedans to date.
Let’s start with the CT4-V Blackwing, a variant of Cadillac’s CT4 luxury compact sedan. Under the hood, you’ll find a 3.6L Twin Turbocharged V6 engine with 472 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Drivers can opt for a 10-speed automatic transmission instead. Also included are Brembo high-performance tires, Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension, and several high-performance features like Driver Mode Selector, Performance Traction Management, and Custom Launch Control. Taking your Blackwing to the track? You’ll want the available Performance Data Recorder to keep track of your driving escapades.
On the vehicle’s exterior, the CT4-V Blackwing has been outfitted with 18” alloy wheels and also features summer-only, low-profile tires. Inside, you’ll find a high-end interior along with an AKG premium audio system. For further curb appeal, carbon-fibre packages are available as well.
The CT5-V Blackwing, a variant of Cadillac’s CT5 mid-size luxury sedan, features virtually everything we’ve mentioned about the CT4-V Blackwing, from Magnetic Ride Control to AKG premium audio and numerous other great features. Where the CT5-V Blackwing differs from the CT4-V is in its size and performance specs. Slightly larger than its CT4 brother, the CT5 variant features available carbon-ceramic brakes, 19” alloy wheels, and a 6.2L Supercharged V8 engine that generates an incredible 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque.
With limited availability and high demand for these powerful sedans, you’ll want to get in touch with a Preston Cadillac Sales Consultant who can walk you through the ordering process. Stay tuned for more info as we approach the start of production in summer 2021!
