Cadillac Escalade Receives V-Series Designation for the First Time

For the first time in Cadillac’s history, the performance-oriented V-Series will include a SUV. The 2023 Escalade V will take its place as Cadillac’s high-performance SUV, featuring a powerful engine, new styling, and more.

Starting with performance, while Cadillac has not confirmed, sources indicate the Escalade V may feature the same supercharged 6.2L V8 engine found under the hood of the CT5-V Blackwing, or potentially a 4.2L Blackwing V8. While the larger body and added weight of the Escalade will not mean the exact same performance, it is worth noting the 6.2L V8 engine produces 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque in the CT5-V Blackwing. This same engine was also found in the previous generation Corvette Z06, offering serious power and capability.

Visually, the V-Series brings a number of changes to the Escalade’s styling with a revised front bumper, new front splitter, multi-spoke wheels, quad-tip exhaust, and blacked-out trim. You’ll find V-series badging at several locations, including the front doors, rear hatch, and vehicle interior.

Cadillac has released a teaser video that shows off the Escalade V’s styling and hints at the vehicle’s impressive performance.
