An Electrifying Announcement: Corvette EV on the Way

The iconic Chevrolet Corvette is going electric.

Chevy recently confirmed a Corvette EV is on the way, with a hybrid model planned to launch as early as next year. Although details are limited at the moment, the partially electrified hybrid model is tentatively planned to launch by the end of 2023 and a fully electric version is set to come following the hybrid’s launch.

While not yet confirmed, we can expect the new electric Corvette may utilize Ultium battery technology, which powers a number of electric offerings in the General Motors portfolio. A teaser video has been released showing a camouflaged Corvette that appears to have similar styling to the brand’s current Corvette offerings. We will report more details as they come!

Chevrolet and GM have been fully committing to their new electric vision over the past several months with a huge number of vehicle announcements. In case you missed it, let’s recap some of the recent announcements.

The First-Ever All-Electric Silverado Pickup is on the way, with initial availability expected in Summer 2024. The Chevrolet Blazer will also receive an electric variant, with availability expected in 2023. On the GMC side, an electric GMC Sierra Pickup is launching as well, likely in 2024.

We will continue to monitor these developments. In the meantime, Chevrolet and GM have great electric offerings available right now including the Chevrolet Bolt and Bolt EUV. Talk to a Preston Sales Consultant to learn more!
