In Summer 2022, Cadillac unveiled CELESTIQ, a showcar with a striking design inspired by futurism and a number of ultra-luxury features. Now, Cadillac is taking the next step with CELESTIQ and has unveiled a production model that will be entirely bespoke for each customer. Each CELESTIQ will be an extension of its driver, crafted in collaboration with expert designers to create a one-of-a-kind, custom commissioned sedan.
Cadillac calls CELESTIQ “the most technologically-advanced and luxurious Cadillac in our storied history”, and it’s easy to see why. CELESTIQ will feature Ultra Cruise, the next evolution in Cadillac’s hands-free driving technology. Building on the already impressive Super Cruise, Ultra Cruise will use a combination of cameras, radars, and LiDAR to allow for a truly hands-free experience. Unlike Super Cruise, Ultra Cruise will allow drivers to remove their hands from the steering wheel when driving on compatible roads in the city*, not just on highways. It is also expected to cover nearly all driving scenarios and should eventually be compatible with every paved road in Canada and the United States.
In addition to Ultra Cruise, CELESTIQ will also feature a number of other impressive technological innovations, including an industry-first Smart Glass Panoramic Sunroof, the world first ClimateSense individualized climate system, and five advanced HD displays tailored to each occupant. This will truly be an ultra-luxury, all-electric sedan.
Stay tuned for more information about the upcoming Cadillac CELESTIQ!
*Ultra Cruise will require drivers to watch the road ahead and make inputs when needed.
