First Ever Electric Escalade: Cadillac ESCALADE IQ

It’s an exciting time for electric vehicles and Cadillac as the brand gets set to announce their first-ever all-electric Escalade with ESCALADE IQ. Joining the LYRIQ (in production now) and CELESTIQ (starting production December 2023), ESCALADE IQ will be the next entry in Cadillac’s efforts to build an all-electric portfolio. First debuting on the LYRIQ, IQ is Cadillac’s EV nomenclature. ESCALADE IQ marks a major milestone for Cadillac as their first all-electric full-size SUV.
The original Escalade debuted in 1998 and the model has quickly become an iconic symbol of luxury. Now, Escalade will take a bold next step into the future with an all-electric powertrain. It is likely the ESCALADE IQ will take advantage of GM’s BT1 platform and Ultium battery technology, which also underpin several other GM electric vehicles including the Chevrolet Silverado EV and GMC HUMMER EV. The ECALADE IQ may also share a powertrain with the HUMMER EV, which is capable of up to 1000 horsepower, 11,500 lb-ft of torque, and an estimated range of more than 570 km on a single charge.
Cadillac has confirmed the vehicle is set to be officially announced later this summer (August 9), with availability details expected to follow. Stay tuned for more details and make sure to get in touch with our Cadillac Sales Team to learn more about the brand’s exciting lineup of vehicles.
