All-New for 2024: Colorado ZR2 Bison

Chevrolet’s off-road ready ZR2 Bison nameplate is making its way to the new Chevy Colorado for the 2024 model year. Previously available on the last-generation Colorado, this is the first time ZR2 Bison will be available on the redesigned, next generation Colorado that first debuted in 2023. Now on Silverado 1500 and Silverado HD in addition to Colorado, this marks the first time Bison is available with all three models.

Made in partnership with American Expedition Vehicles, the 2024 Colorado ZR2 Bison is designed to conquer any terrain thanks to its off-road enhancements. Tested by champion off-road racer Chad Hall, the Colorado ZR2 Bison underwent testing on the legendary Rubicon Trail. According to Chevrolet, the Colorado ZR2 Bison will be the most off-road capable midsize truck available.

Highlights of the new Colorado ZR2 Bison include segment-exclusive Multimatic front and rear Jounce Control Dampers, a heavy-duty winch-capable front bumper, 17-inch deadlock-capable wheels, segment-exclusive 35-inch OD Mud/Terrain tires, Boron steel skid plates, a standard 2.7L Turbo High-Output powertrain, best-in-class approach angle (38.2 degrees), power-locking front/rear differentials, best-in-class ground clearance (12.2 inches), exclusive Bison badging, and much more.

This ultimate off-road beast is expected to launch in Fall 2023. Chevrolet has released vehicle information and photos, with more info to come as we approach availability. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months!
