Loren Cocking Chevrolet Performance Parts

Loren Cocking is a lifetime car-guy who is actively involved in the local car community. He is a Past President of the BC Corvette Car Club (BCCC) and continues to be a member. He is also a member of the BC Hot Rod Association (BCHRA) and the Vintage Car Club of Canada (Vancouver Chapter).

Loren is also involved with the National Association of Automobile Clubs of Canada (NAACC), the Specialty Vehicle Association of BC (SVABC) and has been a past participant in the world’s longest and most grueling vintage car rally – the 2013 Peking to Paris. [In 2013, Loren, with the aid of his navigator, drove a 1928 Ford Model A Phaeton 13,500kms across some of the most scenic and inhospitable terrain in the world to retrace the old “Silk Road” from Beijing (Peking), China, to Paris, France. The journey took them through northern China, Mongolia, the Gobi Desert, Siberia, Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland and France and about 1/3 of the journey was off-road! Thirty-three days after leaving Beijing they arrived in Paris and were awarded a bronze medal for their efforts.

Loren's current collection of cars includes a fully optioned 1992 Corvette Z07 Coupe, an old 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe that he bought new, three 1962 Buick Skylarks, an Acura and two Jaguars (one of which is currently undergoing a 6.0 L LS swap along with a 4L65-E transmission swap) and a 1971 Pontiac Grand Prix. Like most enthusiasts he’s got too many projects and too little time but he’s still accumulating parts for a Model A V8 that he’s threatening to build.

Within the dealership, Loren provides assistance in the selection of driveline products for your vehicle. Whether you’re building a performance car from scratch, restoring a vintage car, or just replacing the GM engine, transmission, transfer case or differential in your daily driver, contact him to obtain advice or get a quotation. Like all gearheads, he’ll tell you to “Dig in, get your hands dirty, finish your build and then drive it!” - there’s never been a better time to do so.
