Sheila and Murray partnered together 25 years ago when they blended their families resulting in 5 married kids,12 grandchildren and a lifetime of cherished memories together and the excitement of more to come.
That partnership has excelled on the business side of their lives as well. Sheila supported Murrays home based business of REAL HORSE POWER HOTRODS as he installed GM power into many lower mainland hotrods. And later, they worked side by side as they launched, ran and later sold a successful E Bike sales, rental & service store in the Okanagan.
Re-powering classic cars has come a long way for hotrod enthusiast Murray Fraser. From pulling wrenches in his teen years alongside his dad & uncle at Fraser Home Gas Station on Marine Drive, Vancouver, then becoming Real Horsepower Hotrods in Langley swapping out 100+ LS crate engines into old iron making it new again, to now representing GM Performance Parts for Preston Chev/Olds in the Okanagan.
The LS series engine family debuted in 1997. General Motors called it the Gen-III Small-Block, with the iron-block versions in trucks and the all-aluminum LS1 introduced in the then-new C5 Corvette. GM has continued to refer to its modern V-8 engine family as
Gen III and Gen IV, but to the enthusiasts who quickly grasped the tremendous performance potential of the engines, every engine of the platform is nicknamed “LS.”
Murray has dedicated his resto-rod career using GM performance parts for more power & more drivability while delivering better mileage & better reliability. Now, as a Performance Parts Specialist he can quote his customers on the GM powertrain system they need and share his lifetime of knowledge and experiences.
As for Sheila, when she is not riding her “real horsepower” horse or peddling her Ebike down the Okanagan Rail Trail she’s alongside Murray as he travels the valley representing PRESTON GM PERFORMANCE PARTS for the Okanagan.
Sheila’s 40+yrs of experience in retail is a proven asset in ensuring PRESTON GM PERFORMANCE PARTS for the Okanagan can deliver a great customer experience. Her mission has always been to hear customer needs, present solutions and add value. She believes in clear and concise communication, supporting Murray to ensure the customer stays in the loop during the ordering and delivery process. She understands that living where she works, means all customers are friends and neighbors and makes it personnel in nurturing those relationships.
