If you’re a student or you have graduated within the last 4 years you may be eligible to receive up to $750* off your next vehicle.

Who is eligible for a Student Bonus discount?

The Student Bonus is open to eligible individuals who:

• Are full-time high school students.
• Have graduated** within the last 4 years from a recognized high school.
• Are part-time*** or full-time students who are enrolled in an accredited college, CEGEP, university or apprenticeship program.
• Have graduated** within the last 4 years from. an accredited college, CEGEP, university or apprenticeship program.
• Are part-time*** or full-time students of an Adult and Vocational program.
• Have graduated** within the last 4 years from an accredited part-time or full-time Adult and Vocational program.

Which vehicles are eligible for a bonus?

Many GM vehicles throughout the Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac lineups are eligible, including great student options like the Chevrolet Equinox and Chevrolet Spark. Talk to a Preston Sales Consultant for full details!

Can a Student Bonus be combined with other incentives and bonuses?

International Student Lease Program

GM is pleased to introduce a new program specifically aimed to help international students get behind the wheel of a new vehicle!  International students can now lease a new GM vehicle subject to meeting GM’s financial qualifications.

Who is eligible for the International Student Lease Program?

International students studying in Canada who are enrolled at an accredited university, college, or CEGEP program are eligible! The lease must be between $100 and $650 per month and students must meet GM’s qualifications for financing. Talk to a Preston Sales Consultant for full details!

What documents do I need to qualify for a lease?

International students will need a letter from their school registrar confirming enrolment, bank statements, a copy of their student visa, proof of residence, proof of their Canadian drivers license, and parental/guardian contact info. How does the program work?

All leases are set up on a pre-authorized payment plan with a 20% down payment and 5% security deposit.

What vehicles are eligible for international students?

Any vehicle that qualifies for GM financing programs is eligible! The vehicle must be new and not pre-owned.

Can this be combined with the GM student bonus program?

*Eligible students or recent graduates receive a Student Bonus credit of $500 or $750 (tax inclusive) (credit amount depends on vehicle purchased) to use towards the purchase or lease of one eligible new 2020 or 2021 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicle delivered during a valid period. Excludes Chevrolet Bolt and Volt. Vehicle must be registered solely in name of applicant (but contracts may be co-signed) for a minimum of six months and 12,000 kilometres. Limit of one vehicle purchase, finance or lease per eligible individual in his/her lifetime; offer not available to recipients of any previous GM student/graduate offer. Limited time offer, which replaces certain prior GM offers and may not be combined with certain current GM offers. Void where prohibited by law.
